Patrick Christopher and Jim Bischoff built The Wilderness House in 1993.  A stunning work of architectural splendor, The Wilderness House, is nestled beautifully in its landscape as if it were always meant to be here.

Inspired by its natural beauty and power, husband and wife, Wendy Tunstall and Adam Olive purchased The Wilderness House in 2006 and are passionately exploring its powerful potential for creating a one-of-a-kind experience for all who dare to come.

The house itself is completely off the grid and relies primarily on solar power.  Our water comes from a well.  We are striving everyday to decrease our footprint here in the delicate desert environment.  We still have a long way to go, but we are getting there.
